Here is the first photo from Dimension Films and MGM’s The Road, opening in theaters on November 14.
Viggo Mortensen, Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and 12-year-old Kodi Smit McPhee star in director John Hillcoat’s big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s best-selling, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. It is the story of a man (Mortensen) and his young son (Smit-McPhee) traveling through a desperate, post-apocalyptic world.

I’d want to read this one before seeing it on the big screen. Looks like a good cast, though…

Although a lot of people loved this book, it sure wasn’t one of my favorites. I’m not sure that I’ll even see the movie, but looking at this once screen shot, I’d say the director caught the feeling of the novel quite well.
