When Idol reaches the Final 3, each of the contestants travel to their home towns for the day, with the American Idol camera’s following their every move. A full day of events, parades, concerts and appearances are scheduled for each of the Idol Contestants. David Cook will be going home to Kansas City, David Archuleta will be going home to Salt Lake City, and Syesha Mercado will be going home to Tampa Bay Florida.
For the Final 3 performance round of 5-13-08 the idols will sing 3 songs. One of the songs will be the contestants own song choice, one will be chosen from one of the judges and the third song will be chosen from the producers.
