The Hard Rock has launched a new website that’s worth a look, particularly if you’re interested in rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia. The new destination highlights items that are housed in the Hard Rock’s cafes, hotels, casinos and other venues across the globe.
While the franchise could’ve slapped together a few photo galleries and been done with it, the site utilizes cool software that enables users to zoom very closely on each object. Background info accompanies every item, and they’re all sortable by decade, genre, artist and location.

Stan Lee was my childhood idol and I always wanted to meet him when I would visit my grandparents in New York. Stan created popular comic book characters like Spiderman, The Hulk, Iron Man, Daredevil, Thor and countless others. He truly is a legend in the comic book industry and at 86 years young still continues to develop characters today.
Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to meet him so I decided to call him and ask him if he would sign a book for me. He kindly accepted and sent me back the book today.
The book that I chose is a very rare slip cased hardcover edition entitled “Fantastic Firsts” that showcases the origins of many of Marvel’s key characters. This book was printed in 1994 and had a very small print run. It was only made available to comic store owners and not sold elsewhere. The inscription states:
“To Good Ol’ Larry –
Best Wishes to a longtime Marvel fan & a Titanic True Believer.
Excelsior!
Stan Lee”
Thanks Stan, I will cherish this book forever!
